Meet Our Staff

Grace Chapel on High Holly Mountain installed Reverend Steve Kerhoulas as the new teaching pastor of the CBC Sky Valley – Scaly Mountain congregation effective March 1, 2021.

 

Pastor Steve, a North Carolina native moved to the Blue Ridge Mountains to attend Western Carolina University, after which he completed his Seminary training at Asbury Theological Seminary.  Steve has pastored churches in Brevard, Cashiers and Highlands.  While in Highlands, he served Community Bible Church from 1994-2006.  This is the place his now grown children consider “home.”

 

“Steve has years of rich shepherding and consulting experience, and his leadership will transition the Sky Valley –Scaly Mountain congregation into a very bright future,” says Pastor Gary Hewins.

 

Pastor Steve’s experience’s that will benefit Grace Chapel moving forward include:

·       Heart for visitation, evangelism & discipleship

·       Building leaders

·       Counseling

 

Pastor Steve & his wife Candi have served in ministry together for 43 years.  They have 4 children and 9 grandchildren.  Two of their sons have followed in Steve’s footsteps as pastors.  “Candi’s and my desire has remained the same - to know Jesus Christ and to make him known by the proclamation of the Gospel to everyone who will listen,” says Pastor Steve Kerhoulas.
